NIVEAU D’EDUCATION, CORRUPTION ET CROISSANCE ECONOMIQUE DANS LES PAYS DE L’UEMOA
Résumé
Cet article examine l'effet de l'éducation sur la croissance économique conditionnée par la corruption dans les pays de l'UEMOA sur la période 1980-2015. Les données utilisées, dans cet article, sont des données macroéconomiques essentiellement issues de la base de données MO Ibrahim et banque mondiale de 2015. Pour atteindre cet objectif, nous avons utilisé un modèle de panel dynamique à effets fixes. Les résultats montrent que les fonctionnaires et agents de l’état qui ont un niveau d’éducation primaire et secondaire sont moins corruptibles. Autrement dit, ils soulignent que le niveau de corruption dans les structures publiques gérées par les fonctionnaires ayant un niveau primaire et secondaire est moindre. Pour réduire les effets négatifs importants de la corruption sur les performances économiques des pays de la zone UEMOA, ces pays doivent investir davantage dans la qualité du système éducatif aux niveaux primaire et secondaire.
