CONTRIBUTION DE L’AMELIORATION DES INDICATEURS SOCIAUX DANS LA CROISSANCE ECONOMIQUE : UNE ETUDE SUR LES PAYS DE L’UEMOA

Résumé


Le présent article analyse l’amélioration des indicateurs sociaux de base considérée comme révélatrice de réduction de la pauvreté au sein des populations tout en permettant de stimulerl’activité économique. L’objectif principal de cet article est d’offrir des éléments pour confirmer cette assertion. À cette fin, il vise à déterminer l’’impact de l’amélioration des indicateurs sociaux de base sur l’activité économique et sur le revenu des populations de façon générale. L’étude porte sur un échantillon composé des 8 pays de l’UEMOA entre 2000 et 2020. La vérification empirique à travers l’estimateur Pooled Mean Group (PMG) montre des résultats significatifs. En effet, ces résultats permettent de soutenir que l’amélioration des indicateurs sociaux joue un rôle primordial dans la croissance économique dans la zone UEMOA.
